Commitment to exporting as an antecedent of organizational skills and firm performance

This study proposes the role of leader’s commitment to export activities as an antecedent specific organizational skills. In particular, this research investigates whether leaders’ exporting affects firm performance, through mediating effect entrepreneurial orientation, network competence, and dynamic capabilities a firm, using survey data collected from 976 companies in Portugal. Results structural equation model show that exporting, defined positive attitude towards internationalization their firms, acts orientation competence. Additionally, we conclude relation between performance is mediated capabilities. contributes understanding these skills proposed relationship provides new insight into important entrepreneur or top manager.
